    HaloScam

    Greetings, from beyond the grave!

What I mean is, this site is dead — I’ve uploaded it only as a record of those simpler, happier times between June 26th and July 28th, 2003. If you got here by mistake, git yerself over to my current homepage by clicking here.

Now, today’s posthumous post is just a little FYI, in case you’re wondering why you can’t read the commentary on this site. That’s because the scumbags over at HaloScan are holding any and all comments more than four months old hostage, and I have to give them $10 US to get them back.

    I don’t think so.

    Here We Go Again

If you’re waiting for Bosnia photos you may just have to wait a little longer…

That’s because I’m changing my web publishing software once again.

I was hoping to redesign the Second Cine website in a manner similar to this, but have found some limitations in iBlog that I’m not too happy about. In the next day or two my web hosting service will be installing and configuring Movable Type on both andrewcurrie.ca and secondcine.com; after that it should be business as usual!

    Bosnia Photos

I’ve got over eight hundred of them, transferred from various digital cameras. What should I do?

The way I see it, I can proceed in one of two ways: Either I just throw all the pics up at once in a web gallery-type deal, or I post a few each day for the next week or two, with an explanation and links for each.

Have your say by posting a comment below. You’ve got until Monday morning to decide!

    Cold-Blooded Murder

    Am I missing something here?

I mean, I know I’ve been away for two weeks, and I’ve probably missed a lot of the details surrounding the deaths of Saddam Hussein’s brothers. But all the news I’ve been catching up on focuses on the photos released by the US government. Nobody seems to have brought up the question of why exactly why these men had to be killed in the first place, instead of, oh I don’t know… Maybe just arrested.

    What up with that?

    Where to Find Me

If you’re looking for updates from Bosnia and don’t see anything new, it’s probably because I can’t connect through my iBlog software. Here’s where to find me…

I’ve opened a temporary Blogger account, which you can visit by clicking here:

    http://www.bosniablog.blogspot.com

If you want to leave comments you’ll have to return to this page and post them here.

And for recorded messages from our travelling entourage you can call the military’s toll-free Mission Information Line:

    1-800-866-4546

Follow the prompts and you’ll hear a daily voicemail from any one of our twenty-plus member team. Because the messages are public, I won’t be able to give you any gossip when my turn comes up, like who’d be knocking boots with who if it were allowed!
